As an independent artist and a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Communications program, Marla works hard to develop herself as an artist and as a communications designer. Taking on freelance work as a web designer and photographer, Marla has enabled herself to gain skills and experience that develop both careers as a recording artist and as a communications designer, consultant and entrepreneur.
Graduating in 2009 and launching both her music career and her communications company Marla Communications Inc (MCO), her artistic toolbox now includes graphic design, web design, video editing & production, a focussed study on magazine production, photoshoot director, theory of branding, advertising and social marketing.
Excited and enthusiastic to be working on unique, original projects, Marla works well as part of a team. With her communications and media background coupled with her natural music sense, Marla is having fun being creative, innovative and thinking outside the box.
